Anyone who is coming as a dryad, let me know what weapons/shields you are planning on using as a character.  I'm currently gearing up to make some nice latex versions (I figure blunt weapons won't be an issue).  I currently have two clubs with acorns as studs and a 2 hander that is encircled with skulls. Smiley  No guarantee that I'll be able to finish them, and like so often said, no guarantee that they'll pass but I think we should be just fine.

Of course, we have a local event now, so I'm probably not going to make it up north.

Ah well.  Still, 2 day events and a weekend within 4 weeks of each other is fine.

NP, I've actually just confirmed with a few other people that I won't be making the trip to Oregon either.  Figure we should support our home chapter more as well as the fact that Oregon is planning a 3 day in August so we'll go to that and have even more time to get ourselves executed. Smiley

Well the real challenge is to perm - or see who comes back with the most black beads in their bag of chance.  I mean, we won't go out of our way to disrupt their game but voicing our opinions about being "Kill on sight" to nobles to their faces is a MUST! Cheesy

I half expect some variation of Shylock's speech. "If you prick us do we not bleed sap?"

Actually, my current "F-U!" manuver is that Oregon Dryad's names are based upon the actual scientific family name.  So I wouldn't call myself "Nightshade" but "Solanaceae".  So when someone asks if they could call me "Sol" for short, I'd answer "No.  Because that's not my name."  Meanwhile my fellow Dryads could call me "Sol" or Night or Nightshade or whatever. Smiley

Yeah, I'm good at pokin' people.
